About Me

Hi, I am Athena!

To give you a brief overview of my background, I graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2023 with an Associate degree in Fashion Design. Before my ventures in the US, I earned a Bachelor degree in Fashion Business Management back home in Taiwan. Most recently, I have advanced my education at the Academy of Art University, where I am pursuing a Master degree in Interaction & UI/UX Design. This program allows me to merge my foundation in fashion and creativity with human-centered design, digital prototyping, and user research skills I am eager to apply in a professional setting.

Among my experiences, one of the most valuable was my internship at a Fashion Design Studio in New York, where I collaborated with the Creative Director and production team to develop an extensive collection of new designs. I was actively involved throughout the entire process—from concept through production—conducting trend research, creating inspiration boards, refining tech packs, participating in fittings, and coordinating with local factories to ensure quality and timely delivery.

This combination of fashion design expertise and current training in UI/UX design has equipped me with a unique perspective: a strong eye for aesthetics, attention to detail, and a structured approach to design systems. Beyond sketching, draping, and sewing, I am now proficient in design tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma, and I am developing advanced skills in wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing. I believe these abilities enable me to contribute not only visually compelling designs but also thoughtful, user-centered solutions.

Although I am still early in my UI/UX career, I am highly motivated to translate my multidisciplinary background into impactful digital experiences. I am confident that my creative problem-solving skills, adaptability, and dedication will allow me to quickly integrate into your team and support the success of upcoming projects.
